The standard pricing of the AA Battery Model is $4,200 where as the Rechargeable version is $4,500.
Both comes with a multi-function base but the rechargeable base has a USB-C charging option. The AA battery model runs on 4 x AA batteries and can read over 1000 patients before needing to be replaced.
All tonometers (working / non-working) with the exception of schiotz tonometers can be used for the $750 Trade-In Rebate Check which is provided after purchase and upon receipt of your trade-in.
Tono-Vera® is a handheld rebound tonometer that uses gentle rebound technology where a single use probe briefly contacts the cornea and provides result in as few as three measurements.

Tono-Vera features a patented positioning system, ActiViewTM that quickly guides the user to the apex of the cornea, providing accurate alignment. It automatically measures when properly positioned, providing higher confidence in IOP readings. iCare doesn’t have an alignment system.
No, Reichert’s Tono-Vera tonometer is FDA cleared to be used with OcuDot probes only.
Tono-Vera is highly correlated with Goldmann Tonometry. It has met international regulatory standards to meet Goldmann Tonometry. Tono-Vera’s alignment and automatic measurement system provides more objective IOP readings that clinicians will have confidence in.
Yes, Tono-Vera has 2 measurement modes, manual and automatic. Manual measurement mode may be helpful for patients with certain corneal conditions such as keratoconus.
